I don't think Alex & Sarah got the message that it was going to snow when I shot their Sundance Winter Engagement. I mean, it was like 23 degrees, and lightly snowing, and they looked like they were ready for spring, nor did they seem to be cold at all.
Sarah & Alex could not have been more fun to photograph! They were constantly laughing, smiling, and playing around. Many times those kind of shots are way better than posed shots, and I actually prefer to shoot that way. But most people need some kind of posing for pictures. Not these two.
I know a lot of photographers, especially when they are starting out, use models and do pretend shoots with them to show their work. Not me, nor will I ever. If you cant make normal people look good, then you just don't know what you are doing. But these two look like a couple of models anyway.
At the end of the shoot, I asked Sarah & Alex if they wanted to make snow angels for a final shot. I was just joking of course because they were hardly dressed to be lying in the snow. But to my surprise they both said yes at the same time, and off we went to find some deep snow to fall down in. (not hard to do as it had recently snowed a lot up here).
