Winter Spruces Campground Bride and Groom Session with Phoebe & David

The Winter Spruces Campground Bride and Groom Session with Phoebe & David was beautiful, but very cold. It had just snowed a day earlier, and the canyon is closed in and rarely sees much sun, so it was about 20 degrees. But if Phoebe and David were cold, you could not tell it by their warm smiles.

Spruces is a great shoot location I found by accident when I was going to do a shoot at Silver Lake in Brighton. The area around Silver Lake was closed due to a Nordic Ski event, so we had to find another location. Very few people had been there as I was making trails in the snow that were about 2.5 to 3 feet deep.

The Spruces campground is surrounded by tall pines and trails leading off into different locations, and I have rarely seen anybody here. Great if you don't want a lot of other people in the background of your pictures!

I had already shot Phoebe and David's engagements at Big Springs Park in the fall, so I knew they would be a lot of fun to work with. But even with warm coats and lots of clothes, we all started to get a little cold before the shoot was over. In the end we got some great shots and I photographed their wedding a few days later. I was even able to get them their pictures prior to the wedding so that they would have some to display.

The pictures above are just a very few of my favorites from the Winter Spruces Campground Bride and Groom Session with Phoebe & David. Enjoy!
