Winter Jordan Pines Engagement with Emily & Jesse
The Winter Jordan Pines Engagement with Emily & Jesse was actually a combination of two different locations. Earlier this year I discovered mule hollow, which has some amazing views and is just down the road from Jordan Pines, but it just does not have enough variety to fill an entire 1 hour shoot, so many times I will start here first, get a few shots, then move on to Jordan Pines. And both locations have a very different look, which works great in the winter when many places look the same.
Emily & Jesse are two genuinely nice people with more reserved personalities. It was easier for me, and them, to stand back and just let them pretend that I was not there taking pictures, so they could be themselves. They were not used to getting pictures taken of them, so this technique worked great and I got some great candid shots of them, well, being them.
Jordan Pines is one of my favorite shoot locations for winter photo shoots, and today was perfect weather. It was not too cold, and the sun was shining. It had not snowed recently, so the snow was not as deep as it can sometimes be. We walked up the road and over a hill to get to one of my favorite spots where you can get a great view of the valley below and all the pine trees gleaming in the setting sun.
Above are just a few of my favorite shots from the Winter Jordan Pines engagement with Emily & Jesse. Enjoy!
