Spring Utah Lake Bride & Groom Session with Melanie & Derrik
So the other day I came here for the first time to do an engagement session, and the sky was socked in cloudy. But today for the Spring Utah Lake Bride & Groom Session with Melanie & Derrik, the clouds looks incredible! It was like the sky was going to pour down rain on us but never did. White puffy clouds with silver linings filled the sky as far as you could see. It was windy, more than I usually like for a photo shoot, but Melanie & Derrik did not mind so we continued the shoot. The wind can actually add a dramatic look to pictures sometimes, if it does not blow the brides hair all over.
We have all been in lockdown since the virus struck the US in February. I think people are so tired of being indoors that they just want to get out nonmatter what the weather is like. I know I feel that way. It was so nice to feel the wind on my face and to actually be doing my job when for the most part, all the April weddings I had re-scheduled to fall or to next year. Melanie and Derrik told me they decided to just live their lives, to be safe, but not afraid. That's why were here.
My favorite part of the shoot was where Melanie & Derrik were standing on the rock face of the hill overlooking the lake. The lake was so green and full of waves it was so beautiful! I am definitely going to come back here for more photo shoots now that I know the landscape to see if I can actually get here on a sunny day and see what that looks like.
The pictures above are just a very few of my favorites from the Spring Utah Lake Bride & Groom Session with Melanie & Derrik. Enjoy!
