Marin & Jason’s Fall Big Springs Park Engagement Session by Utah Wedding Photographer of James Erick Photography Utah

As a Utah Wedding Photographer, there’s something magical about capturing love stories in the breathtaking landscapes of the Wasatch Mountains. Marin and Jason’s fall engagement session at Big Springs Park was no exception. With the autumn leaves painting the park in warm tones and the crisp mountain air adding a touch of romance, the day felt like it was straight out of a fairytale.

Marin was absolutely stunning in a sky-blue dress that highlighted her striking blue eyes. Her long, blonde hair flowed effortlessly in the gentle breeze, making her look like she belonged in a nature-inspired love story. Jason, complementing her perfectly, wore beige pants and a sky-blue long-sleeved shirt. His rugged beard gave him a tough-guy appearance, but his playful personality and the way he looked at Marin revealed his kind-hearted nature.

The session began in a grove of scrub oak trees, where the ground was blanketed in a myriad of colorful fallen leaves. The combination of golds, reds, and oranges created a vibrant backdrop that highlighted the joy and love between Marin and Jason. They couldn’t stop laughing as they playfully tossed leaves at each other, turning the quiet grove into a scene of delightful chaos. Their lighthearted banter and inside jokes were a joy to witness, making it clear that their connection was built on friendship and fun.

From the grove, we moved to the main plateau of Big Springs Park, where tall yellow grass swayed gently in the breeze. This open area provided the perfect opportunity to capture candid moments of Marin and Jason walking hand in hand, lost in conversation. The vibrant fall colors of the surrounding trees framed them beautifully, adding depth and warmth to the images. It was in these quiet moments that their love truly shone, as they exchanged soft smiles and shared stories only they could hear.

One of the most breathtaking locations we explored was a hillside edge just off the main road. From this vantage point, the view of the mountains in full fall splendor was nothing short of spectacular. The golden hues of the aspen trees mixed with the deep reds and oranges of the maples, creating a painterly effect that was the perfect backdrop for Marin and Jason. Standing on the edge of the hill, with the grandeur of nature behind them, the couple looked as if they were the protagonists in an epic love story. It was a humbling reminder of how nature and love often mirror each other—both are vast, beautiful, and timeless.

As the sun began to set, we returned to the plateau for the final shots of the session. The golden hour light bathed the landscape in a soft, warm glow, enhancing the already vibrant fall colors. In a moment of pure romance, Jason scooped Marin into his arms and began walking across the plateau. The combination of the setting sun, the autumnal hues, and the majestic mountains in the background created a scene so picturesque it could have been the cover of a romance novel. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
