If you follow my blog, you will know that I love shooting at Antelope Island, almost any time of year, except mid-April when the bugs come out through July when they start to decrease. Its March 31st, so Jordan & Nathan’s Spring Antelope Island Engagement was perfect!
Today Was one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen at Antelope Island. Sometimes you just get lucky. I would say that at this time of year, from mid-February to the end of March, the sunsets can be spectacular. Knowing this I brought my drone out to get some higher up wider shots of the couple, and I was glad I did!
Jordan & Nathan were so much fun to work with. They laughed and joked around all while we were taking these pictures. The bugs had not come out yet, so we did not have to douse ourselves with biting flea and mosquito repellant. Also, the weather was still cold so there was no “rotten egg” smell like you get in the middle of summer. (I know, sounds wonderful)
When we finished up shooting ant several of my favorite spots on the island, we raced to get to one of my favorite shore locations where there are almost flat rocks sticking out of the water you can stand on. Two of the pictures posted were from my DJI Mavic Pro drone. The rest from my Canon R5 camera. I gave Jordan and Nathan over 100 pictures from this session, and they LOVED them!
