The Silverlake Flats bride & groom session was amazing! Every once in a while the weather cooperates so well that you get an amazing sky and perfect lighting. This was on of those days. I actually shot this session on 5/23/2018 but after an extremely busy season I'm just getting around to blogging again.
I loved shooting Hannah & Tanner! They are the nicest two people you will ever meet. They were very will to walk all over the area to get some amazing shots. Silverlake Flats, at this time of year, and in the Fall, is one of my favorite places to shoot. One of the only drawbacks is that its a long and winding and and rough road to get up here. From Tibble Fork reservoir its about a 25 minute drive to get to the lake. I have a truck, so its easy for me, but for smaller cars it can be a challenge. In the late summer time it gets pretty crowded with four wheeler and campers that make dust fly everywhere. But May with the lake being near full and the snow capped mountains in the distance makes for some amazing views. And the river that divides both sides of the lake has only one crossing near the parking lot and is closed until July. The only other way to get to the other side, short of walking around the entire lake, is by walking over a not very sturdy log foot bridge that crosses 6 feet over the fast moving river.
