A Spring Antelope Island bride and groom session Is the perfect time to do one. In the summer you get mostly bugs! During the summer the biting fleas and mosquitoes can reek havoc on anybody that sets food on the island. My suggestion is to bring a couple of cans of high quality bug spray and just know that your car will need a car wash from all the may flies that will hit it on the drive back down the causeway that gets you off the island. Other than that, its a beautiful place! But Spring is perfect!
The skies during a Spring Antelope Island bride and groom session can be amazing! If there are a few clouds on the horizon, the sun can turn them more colors of pink, purple and orange that you can imagine. I really did not edit the sky colors in the pictures above, that's what I saw, and they look unnatural enough without adding any effects to them. Beautiful, but almost other-worldly.
Today the bugs were not that bad at all. Even the spiders that frequently inhabit the island did not have their webs up between the bushes. And on one side of the horizon there was a beautiful orange sunset, and on the other, a pink, purple and blue sky. Even the wind that can sometimes blow fiercely though the island was still.
Megan & James looked amazing in their wedding clothes. They were very easy to work with, and climbed up on rocks, across tall grassy fields, and through windy and rocky roads to get these pictures. This was a perfect Spring day to do this shoot!
