Summer Farmington Canyon Engagement with Cassidy & Rylan

Nobody had ever asked me to do a Farmington Canyon Engagement before. I had never been there before so I had no idea what to expect. And since there was no designated meeting location, Cassidy's mom offered to drive. So off we went up the rugged canyon in her jeep kicking up dust a mile behind us. It was a windy narrow dirt road that skirted the deep canyon and wound its way up through a beautiful forest, several ponds, all the way to the top of the mountain. All I can say is I wish I had found this place years ago. It was absolutely amazing!
The first place we stopped was clearing off the side of the road in a pine tree forest. The sun was streaming through the tops of the trees onto the green ferns below. It was such a breath taking scene, like something out of a movie. I just told Cassidy & Rylan to walk out there and be themselves, and only needed to give them a little direction. What I got was unforgettable. Perfect lighting, and beautiful background, and a beautiful couple. The only drawback is that if you come here, be sure to wear mosquito repellent as the nasty insects are insatiable here. I cam home later that day with over 15 bites. Ouch!
Later in the shoot we came to the top of the mountain about an hour before sunset. You could literally see for miles in every direction. I don't know the exact elevation here but I know it was higher than 10 thousand feet as we past a sign saying so earlier on the way up. So we took lots of pictures walking around the Rocky meadow as the sun slowly sank.
Cassidy & Rylan were a lot of fun to work with on this Farmington Canyon Engagement, and I found a new great place to take pictures!
