Summer Antelope Island Bridal with Megan

You never know what you’re going to get with the landscape during an Antelope Island Bridal as it changes from month to month. Sometimes there is a barren landscape, so you focus on the bride, the background and the sky. Sometimes it is a frozen wasteland, with beautiful green snow frozen in petrified waves. Sometimes its green all over, and very rarely you get a day like today, where there are tall yellow flowers as far as you eye can see. It’s one of the things that make the island special. You really never know what it will look like each time you go to shoot there.
Megan lucked out during her Antelope Island Bridal! I have rarely seen so many flowers on the island, or so perfect a sky, or so beautiful a sunset. I could have taken a million pictures of her in the flowers alone, but I am one for variety. And not only were the flowers beautiful, but the blue sky and orange-red sunset were amazing as well.
Trudging around the island can be difficult. There are snakes, insects that bite, and buffalo that can charge you at 35 miles per hour if you get too close. But Megan in her beautiful dress took it in stride and climbed rocks, waded through fields of flowers, and brushed away bugs to get some incredible shots. The only problem we had was with the biting flies. Good thing for us I always carry a can of repellent or I think we would have been eaten alive.
Megan was great to work with and had some help from her mother and friend. Their wedding at Millennial Falls is coming up and I am really looking forward to shooting it.
